Just a few notes on Lee Wallace's recent message on this list: "Kingfisher" wasnt any recent "Stealth" project, its was a classified 1960's program to air launch a small hypersonic aircraft from under the belly of the old B-58 Hustler bomber. Waverider isnt the name of a specific NASA project, its an aerodynamic idea thats been around since the 1950s (at least!) ..the old XB-70 bomber design used a limited form of it. There have been many Waverider spacecraft and aircraft proposed over the years.. a common feature is the so called Double-Caret wing section-i.e. it looks like ^^ . I think the "prototype" mentioned is a small sub-scale radio controlled model called "LOFLYTE" "Q-Star" was a Schweizer motor glider modified by Lockheed in the late 60's - it had a muffled engine and other sound reducing technology..it was used as a test bed for "stealthy" propeller designs into the 70s..hard to see a connection to the mythical "Aurora" there..
