Re: Military Mission: To Control Space through War

Most likely they mean to use space as in communications and surveylance. By
controling and exploiting space (low earth orbit in this case) the military
maintains the edge in these areas. By destroying the enemys orbital spy
gadgets and com sats they keep that edge. We already have missiles designed to
shoot down spy and com sats.

This is a natural extension of warfighting in the mdoern era. You don't want
the enemy to be able to communicate nor do you want them to be able to take
pictures of you.
