The contrail was visible for quite a while, and of course had no relation
to Area 51. It was quite beautiful- the uppermost reaches were lit by
moonlight here in LA, while the lower parts caught the last traces of the
sunset. Very beautiful, but no twinkling lights other than the targets it
jettisoned and, of course, it didn't come from Nevada. Supposedly it was
visible even in Phoenix.
