For a good book on Gerald Bull and the super gun, look for ARMS AND
THE MAN by William Lowther (Presidio Press). I didn't read the post
that started this, but Gerald Bull got the idea for his supergun from
a WWI-era French (I believe) design. Yes, he was most certainly a
genius (the book made for very interesting reading), but the
technology was not alien-inspired. Interesting book, BTW. Amazon.com
might have it, and it would certainly be worth doing a keyword search
for books on the subject.

Re: "HAARP" VS "HARP" Just for the record, and 'tho it does nothing
for Corso's credibility, Gerald Bull did run a HARP program while
domiciled in Canada, before his adventures with South Africa, Iraq
etc. It was to place payloads in orbit via Bull's revolutionary cannon
technology from a site in Vermont (maybe NH?), and if memory serves it
died due to the withdrawal of the U.S. portion of joint U.S./Canada
defence funding. I don't recall if any payloads actually made it to
orbit. Certainly, as Tim says, it had no connection to HAARP.
There's still lots of mystery in the Bull story, suitable for
conspiracy sites.
