Re: 'UFO' over Hurricane Mesa Test Track, Utah

After a brief look at the photos (the enlargment in particular) , I'll
take a stab and say this UFO looks somewhat like one of the (usually)
tethered mini-blimps used by advertisers and broadcasters here. In the
latter case a remote-controlled video camera platform is suspended beneath
the "gas bag". TV companies use them as a cheap alternative to
helicopters over sports events etc - I don't think they'd be be out of
place over a test range either.

Going up in scale, the US operates a a number of larger (but similar
looking) tethered, radar-equipped blimps...again these might be useful on
a test range.

Perhaps a tether broke that day?..anyone check the local media?
