STEALTH TIDBIT Date: Mon, 29 Sep 1997 09:15:38 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Steath tidbit From: BaDge <baj7d@avery.med.virginia.edu> Just heard an amusing story about the NightHawk on the tube... Seems like they found numerous dead bats near the plane some mornings. Apparently the bats, looking for insects, failed to radar-detect the tail fins of the Stealth fighter and collided with them. (Discovery Chan). Um, not amusing for the poor bats, mind you... =================================================================== TOXIC WASTE IN CRASH Date: Mon, 29 Sep 1997 11:43:34 -0700 (MST) From: insane@aztec.asu.edu (STEVE HAUSER) Subject: F-117 crash To: campbell@ufomind.com Hey, Glenn. Just wondering if you are aware of what the 117 pilot is reported to have said after ejecting. I heard a report (only once) on either CBS or CNN radio that after inquiring as to the status of the occupants of the homes into which the plane crashed, the pilot said something to the effect that "you have to get them away from the smoke... it's toxic". Wonder if Jonathan Turley is aware or if it's of use to his case on behalf of the affected workers at Groom Lake. =================================================================== UFOS/AREA 51 IN LONDON MAIL From: [withheld] Date: Sun, 21 Sep 1997 08:14:38 -0400 (EDT) To: campbell@ufomind.com Subject: London Mail on Sunday article Just to let you know that you have a good write-up in the Night and Day magazine section of the Mail on Sunday newspaper of Sept. 21st. The article also mentions Stanton Friedman, Robert Wood, Maj-Gen. Albert Stubblebine, David Whipple, John Pike, and various British figures involved in the UFO scene. It is balanced and presents the whole phenomenon as a genuine mystery. =================================================================== AREA 51 PROGRAM ON DISCOVERY CHANNEL NOV 2 Date: Wed, 17 Sep 1997 07:03:38 -0800 Subject: Re: Area 51 Documentary on Discovery Channel From: Ralph McCarron <wolfvid@wgn.net> I just recently finished working with Termite Art Productions on the new documentary that will air on the Discovery Channel on November 2, 1997. It will be called simply "Area 51". They purchased alot of stock footage from my personal collection that will air in the feature. Also on the same night there is a documentary airing on the "Phoenix Lights". =================================================================== POWERS BOOK Commenting on: http://www.ufomind.com/area51/list/1997/sep/a07-001.shtml Responding to earlier request for the name of Gary Powers book, several readers replied... Operation Overflight: The U-2 Spy Pilot Tells His Story for the First Time Francis Gary Powers with Curt Gentry Holt, Rinehart and Winston - 1970 (376 pages-hardbound, ISBN 03-083045-1) Gary Powers version of the shootdown on May 1 1960, and what happened after his capture. Good book, sadly out of print. I recognize 93B... as a vehicle the Air Force owns and was procured in 1993. The "B" indicates some sort of series (I'm not too familiar with that), and as the letters progress, the equipment sometimes gets more exotic. Cars & trucks are (in my experience) usually "B" vehicles. Something like "L" might indicate road machinery or similar. =================================================================== AIR FORCE SEISMIC SERVICES From: Blskywtwtr@aol.com Date: Mon, 8 Sep 1997 09:41:00 -0400 (EDT) To: webmaster@ufomind.com Subject: Air force "seismic" services On the southeast edge of Pinedale,Wyoming, I noticed a tiny fenced yard containing a steel garage building, a couple of non descript vehicles in military colors, and a SnoCat set up for personnel transport. The sign on the fence innocently announced that this was a facility of such and such detachment of the Air Force Seismic Research division. Go figure. After not much consideration, I can say with conviction that Michael AAF and adjacent Dugway Proving Ground make a much better substitute for Area 51 than anything around Green River. The perimeter fence at Dugway is very well patrolled; folks who have motorcycled through broken sections of fence into the facility are greeted within minutes by area security personnel, suggesting the presence of intrusion detection devices. Any suggestion that the old Green River missile testing facility is ready to take up slack from Area 51 would have to be a shill. Any excuse to explore the desert is valid. =================================================================== AIN'T NOTHIN' AT FALLON Date: Sun, 29 Sep 1996 16:50:32 -0700 [old] From: [withheld - active duty military] To: campbell@ufomind.com Subject: just saying hi X-URL: http://www.ufomind.com/area51/desert_rat/1996/dr37/esmond.shtml I have recently returned from a fun-filled month at NAS Fallon, NV. To dispell some of the rumors that I have read before, there ain't nuthin' there. It's not anything secret, just the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center, Top Gun, Top Dome and a whole lot of dust. Oh yeah, one more thing, Papoose lies partly in the northern end of the "60" series ranges up there...that area is a normal bombing range north of Dog Bone Lake...I flew over it not too long ago. =================================================================== ALIEN BURGER WARNING Date: Tue, 8 Oct 1996 18:05:01 -0700 [old] From: david.seberger@Eng.Sun.COM (David Seberger) To: campbell@ufomind.com Subject: Trip to Rachel Went to Rachel and Dry Lake bed last weekend. Lots of fun. We were a small group (4) of guys, the "Manly Man and Spam Club". We drove over from Sacramento, had dinner at the Little A'Le'Inn. You really need to warn people about the Alien Burger. It was the worst burger we've seen in years. Pork Chops with potatoes were great. After dinner we drove out to the dry lake bed [near Rachel] and set up (Motorhome, sleeping bags on the ground, shade tarps). The nights were really nice and we spent the day target shooting. I don't think the locals ever realized we were there. Staying out on the dry lake bed is very interesting from the stand point of quiet, view of stars, glow from direction of the none existing base. I highly recommend it. "Area 51 Viewers Guide" was invaluable for finding our way around and in particular onto the lake bed and back off, when the gas station opened, when the restaurant closed. Very nice job, thank you for the great work on it. All in all it was a great trip. I want to do it again and stay longer. =================================================================== A 'LE' INN & CHUCK CLARK Subj: In Complete Agreement about A le Inn Date: 96-10-13 20:34:39 EDT [old] From: PingTime@aol.com After having spent (wasted) time in the Inn with Chuck Clark and observing the local mental midgets my wife and I can only agree that your assesment of the Inn is correct. We have been researching the UFO phenomena for approximately 5 years and have sifted through mountains of "trash" to get a nugget of credible information. In our opinion the caliber of people such as those at the A Le Inn are contributing only the "trash" and confusion that obscures real study. We have traveled to sites to see first hand the objects that are reported and have spoken with a large number of experiencers some well known most little known and have reached the conclusion that most stories are just that...stories. We do believe that there is enough credible evidence to study what this phenomena is but conclusions about space brothers and one world governments have no place in a serious effort. Don't lose heart in your efforts as there are some responsible researchers who share your views. =================================================================== TOO MANY ENEMIES TO TRACK [Regarding Mike Smith, a previous Campbell "flameur" prior to "Martha Spader".] Subj: Smitty Date: 97-08-22 01:12:26 EDT From: EWeida To: PsychoSpy Glenn, You fibbed when you said that you did not know who smitty was. He is that heavy set guy from Kansas. I know you two hiked freedom ridge together because I saw pictures. He spent some time living in the ale'le inn and all that crap. I was hanging out with him a few years back when we ran into the cammo dudette. I must say that I thought he was a nice guy when I met him, but I have cross-referenced his e-mail with my records and he is indeed the same smitty. Has anything I have said brought back your memory? [I've had contact with thousands of visitors in Rachel, and this description doesn't help. Perhaps if I saw him I would remember him. -- GC] =================================================================== THE OTHER MIKE SMITH Date: Mon, 8 Sep 1997 11:26:51 +0100 (BST) From: Mike Smith <mickey@anix340.dev.anix.co.uk> Subject: Re: AREA 51: Misc: U-2, Nellis Overflights, Fake Streiber It appears that I have a namesake. An unpleasant namesake, who has in recent history launched abuse at many in the UFO/Black Projects/Conspiracy arena. I would like to distance myself from this person, who by an accident of birth, seems to have the same name as me. The reason for my sudden response, is a number of unsolicited mail messages that I've suddenly recieved. I am not and never have been abusive to anyone on this list or the many others to which I subscribe. Mike Smith (The polite, quiet and tidy one) =================================================================== EARLY TOUR TO AREA 51 BORDER Re: http://www.ufomind.com/area51/list/1997/sep/a11-002.shtml And: http://www.ufomind.com/area51/list/1997/sep/a12-002.shtml Date: Fri, 12 Sep 1997 16:16:10 -0700 From: Jabali@prodigy.net To: "Glenn Campbell, Las Vegas" <campbell@ufomind.com> Subject: Re: October 1988 "Lost Time" > Do you recall the names of anyone involved, or any information at > all on the group you were with? > > Do you remember any of your contacts in Aneheim? (Perhaps if > you just described them, I would know who they are.) Ok...names...no, but i do recall that the transportation was provided by Hotdog Tours. The station was AM 1190 Adventure Radio...i cannot recall the host's name, it was many years ago. Odd though, now that i think of it, i have NO contacts with anyone involved in that trip. They all just kind of ... faded away. =================================================================== CHUBBY DUDE Date: Thu, 11 Sep 1997 02:18:40 -0400 (EDT) Commenting on: http://www.ufomind.com/area51/org/security/gallery.shtml From: mardeep <V.Salyer@gcnet.com> The cubby dude may be a rank of seargeant first class or above. He is over the prescribed weight limit of any armed forces. This puts him in a higher source of command. A decision maker if you will. All these personel have high clearence, there would have to be background checks performed through F.B.I. and other agency channels. As well as any sheriff who enters the land. How many of them are former military security personel? Any former military personel are required to submitt their discharge papers to the county the reside in as a matter of public record. In other words harass the hell out of them black project basterds!!! [I was unaware of this county reporting requirement. I emailed the above author for more info, but there was no reply. --GC] =================================================================== CAMPBELL RESEARCH GROWS [From UFO Sky Searchers International mailing list, via Ndunlks@aol.com] From: Geehart Date: Sat, 30 Aug 1997 09:52:28 -0400 (EDT) To: deeaob@admin.itol.com, WENJAM@aol.com Subject: Re: AREA 51: Popular Mechanics takes a shot at Campbell My support is for Glenn Campbell. Having read several of his extremely well researched books, I would have to say that most other critics have never seen them and have no idea what good research really is. I don't mind paying for the quality of work he has produced. His research material, in my mind, only raises criticism of not only for the valuelessly speculative Popular Mechanics article but most of the output of the majority of other non-technical researchers. Read Area 51 Viewers Guide to see how research is really done. --Gary Hart [Apparently, this fellow has read more of my books than I have written. The Viewer's Guide is my only book. --GC] =================================================================== YET ANOTHER MOVE Date: Wed, 10 Sep 1997 13:54:41 -0400 (EDT) From: chris larkey Subject: NEW TECHNOLOGY, HOW? Commenting on: http://www.ufomind.com/area51/comment/ HOW DID THE GOVERNMENT GET SO TECNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED, WHERE DID WE GET THE IDEAS FOR COMPUTER CHIPS, STEALTH CRAFT, LASERS, AND NEW WEAPONS SUCH AS THE GUNS THAT USE MICRO-WAVES TO RENDER ONE HARMLESS (NEWSWEEK, JULY OR AUG. 1997) WHY DOESN'T REPORTERS ASK THE PRESIDENT OR THE CIA ABOUT AREA 51? THE NEW TECHNOLOGY HAS TO BE FRON A UFO AND THE INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM IT. i MAY BE WRONG BUT I FEEL THERE IS A MASS COVERUP GOING ON AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE TRUTH. i ALSO HEAR AREA 51 IS MOVING TO A NEW SECRET LOCATION IN COLORADO.
