I have never been to That area of nevada, but my Math proffessor who was at one time during the late sixties and early 70's, a computer programmer with the airforce in colorado (boulder). She was incharge of some work with "super sensitive information" and has told our class as a joke that if she disclosed certain information she would have to kill us for reasons of National security. Talking to her later i brought up the subject of area51 of which she had not heard of but as soon as I said a secret base north of Las Vegas she new what i was talking about. She also said that she new people who had worked at area51 and that they were transported there by 747. Anyway, although i am in no way qualified to make such assumptions, i beleive that a breakin is possible into area51. This is my plan, It may sound a little kooky but its late and i dont have anything better to do. My plan does not involve people physicaly breaking into the base but rather using radio controlled aircraft with vidio transmitting devises mounted on them to fly in and record the base, while a recording device records the images at a remote location. AQnother idea is using an actual spy. Getting a mole or sending one in ourselves. although i have no idea how to apply for a job there. i suppose you would have to be a member of the millitary or somthing. oh well, just an idea. If using gravity amplification bends space/time to bring POINT A close enough to POINT B, wouldent that cause a massive (on a biblical proportion type massive) suction type dent in space itself, moving whole sections of the galaxy/universe to another point! Point being, after you have traversed the said (now small) distance, how do you put it all back where it belong's. He said in the late '50s he worked for Hughes, and in the early '60s they'd fly in a Connie every day to the plant in Nevada and he'd test mini- or microprocessors all day...his job was to submit them to extreme changes in temperature until they broke, and then analyze them under a microscope to find the weak spot. I said "I didn't know microprocessors existed in the early sixties." (I work in the computer industry.) He said "Yeah, we had a lot of things that didn't exist in the sixties. Have you ever heard of the Blackbird?" (I'm also a pilot and plane enthusiast.) The chips went in the 'bird. (The A-12, as he referred to it later.) Screw UFOs! This guy worked on the Blackbird! I talked to him about the plane for awhile and asked him nonchalantly where exactly he worked. He laughed and said "They used to call it The Ranch." "So you worked at Area 51?" It occured to me later that he didn't really tell me anything I couldn't have figured out on my own. I mentioned the 'Rat. He said he heard that later on people would harass the employees in the airport parking lot to threaten secrets out of them, but that it was a joke--what could a few of fanatics do compared to the US government? He knew a lot about specific parts of the Blackbird, but not the plane as a whole. I never asked him THE question, but baited him by saying that the Blackbird was probably the best evidence for some sort of superintelligent influence. He didn't bite. Said he wasn't ever allowed to go Russia and he couldn't leave the country without permission. I guessed he didn't want to talk about the Blackbird anymore. Anyway, in the last newsletter you wrote: "Still if indeed there is a non-UFO "S4" out there, so ultra secret that it is buried in the mountain, then how would Lazar have knowledge of it...." Maybe, like you, Lazar did his homework. Actually, it's obvious that he did, and he probably had a couple of "inside" inspirations to work with too. You probably have enough information from talking to people that if you never went public with the 'Rat, you could create an equally-compelling story as Lazar's. You don't need to know astrophysics: "Oh, I worked for xxxx out of Vegas, and they used to fly us in in SuperConstellations to clean up the workspace at an area called S-4. Man, they had some strange, extremely toxic stuff that they used to burn in pits. Don't know what it was called, but it so nasty that even after it was burned you'd break out in a rash if you weren't protected. They wanted it all gone because it came from this saucer thing they were working on. We disposed know, corpses. Some human, some not." Anyway, just thought I'd throw in some stray commentary. For example, I was shocked to learn that in the 1940's there was a joint German-Japanese project that launched a crew of several hundred to the planet Mars (this was after the moonbase was already established) using a tachyon generator engine. This isn't the most authoritative source, but a novel by Harold Coyle called Team Yankee explains S-4 in the glossary as follows, S-1 - The 'S' is for staff. The S-1 is the staff officer responsible for all personnel matters in the battalion or brigade. S-2 - The staff officer responsible for gathering, analysing and producing intelligence on enemy activities and intentions. Partly because they used to do cool expiriments here (open cow udders, alien autopsies), but also because this may the closest any of us will ever to Gate 700. We should time this to when we think Mercury Highway will have the most through traffic. 2) At least one of the following sites: Icecap test (Area 7), Gabbs test (Area 9) or the Fortune Training Tower (Area 6). Icecap & Gabbs were the last two tests being prepared just before the nuclear testing moratorium went into effect. Since it appears that testing will become a lost art, I would love to see one of these sites to witness the engineering & logistics that used to take place regularly. I would like to have some images to compare with the vast amount of dollars that were spent at the Test Site. And if we get an old NTS electrician or civil engineer to lead the tour, we should get some great 'war stories'. 3) The Device Assembly Facility (south end, Area 6). Originally planned to supplement the Pantex bomb assembly plant in Texas, just what are they doing here now that we're not making any more bombs?? Let's see inside!! 4) The Joint Test Organization (JTO) camp, also in Area 6. This facility was completed just before the moratorium; was supposed to be used by LLNL & LANL to assemble the actual test devices. I want to see my money (I'm serious!!). I figure they keep it here. Not as secure as the DAF, but more accessible for quick withdrawals by contractors. 5) The Huron King test chamber (Area 3). Built for a one-time vertical LOS test of satellite/outer space stuff. Very unique - very cool! 6) Lyner Site (Area 1). Dedicated to detecting underground tests, I figure the people that work here have real job security, as this will be an important activity since all nations have called a halt to testing. Deep holes & inflatable buildings; are we sure of what they're doing down there? 7) MX missile pad in the SW corner of Area 25. Actually, I want to see the launch control center that was probably built for the facility. Not a part in the above prioritization, if we have time in Mercury I'd like to visit the Nye County Sheriffs Office (to see what he does on federal land), the radiation detection stuff at Gate 100, and some of Wackenhut's armored vehicles. If we're really bored, we can check-out Sedan Crater, only to watch the traffic on Mercury Highway. Finally, I have not considered the chances of us being allowed to visit any of these areas, but what harm is there in asking??

Date: Fri, 13 Dec 1996 15:54:23 -0800 I used up my one-movie-a-year allocation and saw "Mars Attacks" on its opening day. I wish I could say it was a great movie. It was certainly satisfying to see the aliens land in Pahrump, Nevada, and later attack Vegas. The visual effects were fantastic, and the movie certainly had plenty of wit and imagination. Almost too much imagination! I came out of it with a headache and slightly queasy feeling after watching one too many alien heads explode. This is a very twisted version of ID4. Like other Tim Burton movies, it is very macabre and unsettling behind its comic book exterior. Almost all the main characters get fried -- literally, and one wishes they had stayed around longer so we could get to know them. Jack Nicholson is at his evil best as the President, and all the other characters are well acted, but it doesn't matter much. Like ID4, this one is just another carnival ride, albeit with more humor and imagination (I assume - not having seen ID4). The aliens drive vintage 50s flying saucers, and they want our women -- but not for the aim you might suppose. The only scene that sticks with me is the "Trojan House" ruse the aliens use to gain access to the White House. Now _that_ was funny. Should you see this movie? Well, if you MUST see a movie this Christmas, then this is probably the one. But if you are on a one-movie-a-year diet like I am, you might want to wait for something more filling. I have some disturbing information and I fell that your program would be the perfect vehicle with which to distribute what I have. I have been under the employ of the Vatican for over five years. I have done what could best be described as counter-intelligence work, for the church. I am a man of God and please believe me when I tell you that the information I have is genuine, and very serious. Without going into too much detail about my former employers, I will briefly tell you that I have had a Top Level security clearance in the Vatican for quite some time. Most of the work I have done regrettably falls into the realm of "black-ops", and I will not go into detail about that now. Around six months ago, I was working at a data terminal in a highly restricted area following a case that I had just completed, when I stumbled onto something that nearly made my heart stop. Please pay attention here, this is where it gets strange. I uncovered a heavily encrypted sub-system that was suprisingly well hidden. I found that it was only accessible through the terminal I was at, and one other terminal.(I must point out that the area I was in was not an area that I routinely used.) After two minute of trying to getinto the system, the whole lab shut itself down and I was booted off the terminal. Not wanting to raise any eyebrows, I decided to leave and come back later that night. The strange thing was, when I came back, there were ARMED guards standing sentry outside of the lab. I must say that it is not unusual to see guards roaming the Vatican, but it is very unusual for them to stand sentry at a lab, much less while armed. Over the next month, I managed to slip in unnoticed only once. And after I had found what I came for, I understood the security. It took me a good deal of time to break into the system, and when I did, I wished I hadn't. When I entered the system, I came across a file titled "WORMWOOD?".(Yes, with a question mark.) Thinking it to be a text file, I brought up the file with the intent of corying so I could read it later. What happened next was truly remarkable. The file sort of "deteriorated" into a series of command lines that lasted approximately two minutes. Once it was done running, there it was. I had found a direct link-up to the Hubble space telescope. Not only that, but it was pointed directly at the comet Hale-Bopp. The program was running some kind of analysis. Taking directional notes, projecting path of travel, etc. After realizing what I had discovered, I started searching and came across an e-mail data trail that led directly to the office of the Pope himself. What was discussed, I cannot know. Over the next two weeks, I began to uncover evidence that the Vatican is very aware of the existence of the companion, and is VERY worried about it. I began to copy files and pictures that were present at the terminal, when I found a report from the United Nations to the Vatican, as well as a report from NASA regarding their concerns. It is very obvious to me that a great many people and entities know of the companion and are doing their best to keep quiet. VERY quiet. As the next part of my story illustrates. I had found another file that I wanted to look at, but it was independently encrypted. At the time that I discovered it, I had already been online at the terminal for some time, so I decided to copy the file encrypted, and decode it at my leisure. As I was leaving the lab, I was approached by two of the Pope's top aides and was asked to meet them later in the evening. I didn't feel comfortable about the situation, so I agreed and told them that I needed to shower, and would join them later. I haven't been back to the Vatican since. I found out about a week later through some old friends and contacts that a contract had bee placed on my life. Two days later my mother and father were killed in a car crash in France. You don't have to worry about obstructive weather except on the passes over the Sierra Nevada range in California, which get tons of snow. In the winter, all the passes are closed except I-40 (from Reno to San Francisco).
