Subject: "Cammo Dudette" spotted at Area 51....

 Just a brief note, to inform everyone, that a "Female type security" 
person was spotted by myself and a couple of first time visitors, 
from Arizona! Actually, we 'boxed her in ' at the wide spot of the 
trail, just south of Groom Road. She seemed a little slow to react...She 
had short brown hair and looked  a little under fed...about 115 
lbs....Just what is this world coming to?? 
  I found another place for viewing the airspace.....(Can't see the base, 
though). I got a 4X4 trail cut to the base of the peak, and about a 
third of the way up the summit. I'll work on the trail a little bit more 
this spring. This might be the closest 'legal' high point for viewing the 
air space! "Smitty's Summit" is  directly south of Freedom Ridge. If 
you take the Castle Rock road turn off to the south and follow the 
trail past the cave, on the south side of the trail. The trail appears to 
end at a barbed wire fence and three warning signs . Just follow the 
fence north, past the optical tracking camera. The trail is very faint 
but will end up at the southside of the summit.The hike from the 
base of the summit from the south side is nice and easy. I was trying 
to cut a trail to the top but my truck had a small engine fire....I was 
alone....and no "Cammo Dudes" offered any assistance....I just love it 
out there!!!
