Dr. Wolf. Has anyone else heard of him?

Yes, I have heard of Dr. Wolf. I began an investigation of him in
February 1996 and have continued with the project off and on through the
present. He is an enigma, very difficult to pin down. Here is an
overview of of his background, the information he initially provided to
authenticate his claims.

Dr.Michael M. Wolf
54 years old, born in '41 or '42
Membership:
        New York Academy of Sciences
American Ass'n for the Advancement of Science
Education:
        1964 MD-McGill Medical School, Montreal:
        neurologist
        1968 Phd-MIT, Theoretical Physics
        1976 Phd-Cal Tech, Comp Sci/Theoretical Physics
        1977 Edd-Cambridge University: Education
1978 Degree-Georgia Institute of Tech: Comp Sci
1979 JD-Georgetown University, Washing DC: Law
History:
While at Princeton he was recruited by the CIA or NSA as a part
time courier. He did not know who employed him until he made a delivery
in East Germany. He was made aware by an agent from the other side,
presumably a Soviet. Continued his involvement with US Intelligence after
graduating and eventually consulted for the National Security Council.
While living in Europe he was involved in an automobile accident that
killed his wife and son. He was later told it was a security hit. (the
brakes were fixed) Until recently he was the Chancellor of the New England
Institute for Advanced Research in Harford, CT, a think tank of the
National Security Council. He is dying of colon cancer. Started Paragon
Foundation, which was to be funded by the proceeds of a soon to be
published book.

In the past year Dr Wolf's story has changed very little. His book was
published (see Books In Print, 1996-1997), The Catchers of Heaven by two
publishes simutaneously, Dorrance Publishing and Magnolia Mktg (Molly
Sanford and Joan S. Koole). I strongly recommend anyone interested in Dr.
Wolf read the book. The style is eccentric, deeply personal and
troubling. He is obvioulsy a very complex person. He may also be a
co-author of Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations in Differential
Geomentry, LC 95-20571 IAS, Park City Mathematics, Ser Vol: 2D 352 pages,
1995, 0-8218-0431-6 PCMS/Z, Robert Hardt and Michael Wolf, however, this
has not been confirmed.

My investigation found Michael Wolf is very likely Michael Kruvant. He
seems to have changed his name sometime in the '90's.

Dun & Bradstreet reported Dr Michael Wolf was Chancellor of the New
England Institute for Advanced Research started in 1982 as a think tank
for the National Security Council, DUNS: 78-104-4672 with a disclaimer
that the information was not verified and only provided by Dr. Wolf. Much
of the educational info shown above was provided by Wolf for the D & B
report.

Only limited information from his background has been verified and even
that verification is questionable.

Cal Tech confirmed a Michael Wolf graduated with a Phd in 1976 (this
doesnt account for the fact that his real name may be Kruvant)

The New York Academy of Sciences confirmed membership of a Michael Wolf in
Lousiana. They also confirmed membership for a Michael Kruvant in CT.

The American Ass'n for the Advancement of Science has five members named
Michael Wolf but none are in CT.

An attempt to verify Wolf's graduation from Georgetown University found
records from 1979 are purportedly in the basement and require hand
searching. I was to be called back and information about myself was given
to the school. They never called with the info, however, it did get back
to Wolf I made an inquiry. He wanted to know who I was.

I have been unable to develope an exact date of birth or social security
number for Michael Wolf of CT or Michael Kruvant. Ordinarily this is
simple and presents no difficulties.

He changed the name of his foundation, Paragon, re-naming it after his son
with the last name Wolf. This also inconsistent with the fact that his
last name is likely Kruvant.

There do not appear to be clear answers to questions one may ask about Dr.
Wolf. At present I have not draw a satisfactory conclusion regarding his
veracity. The difficulties may be a result of his past involvement with
intelligence or the antics of a lunatic. Caution, some infighting has
manifest amongst ufological schools, more than likely for the dollar value
Dr. Wolf represents in future ufo publications.
