Second Email Interview with Sherman

On July 24, I published an interview with Dan ("D.L") Sherman, who
claims to have worked with a secret NSA program receiving
communications from alien entities.

Readers were invited to send further questions to Sherman, with a cc
to me, and I would put them together in another document.
Here is the new compendium of questions and answers. This is reduced
from about two dozen email messages. I have edited questions for
clarity and tried to arrange the questions in a logical order. I have
fixed some minor grammar and spelling errors in Sherman's responses
but have otherwise left them intact. (He has had a chance to review
this final document before it was distributed.)

1) You say an alien entity told you that they (the aliens) have been
visiting this planet "since the beginning". How long ago was this
"beginning" of the earth, according to these aliens?
DS: This was not told to me, but it wasn't because I did not ask. The
second [alien] contact I was assigned to was very candid at times when
I asked questions, which wasn't often. But I always knew when I
wasn't going to receive an answer because he would continue by saying
"Continue with next communication" or close communications totally.
It was very frustrating. So I was always on edge not knowing whether
I was going to force him to close shop. I know everything sure would
be nice if I had all the answers but unfortunately I don't. It was
almost as if he told me these things to keep me in suspense because I
never got the "full" story. As was true of everything, probably by
design!
2) Did the aliens, that you "comm'ed" with, contribute to the
creation of human-kind?
DS: Again, unknown but I do not think so because of other things they
said.
3) You said there were three cultures that were influenced by the
aliens and that you had an idea which those were. Which are they?
DS: Over the years, I have read a lot of books by others and
attempted to attach some sort of meaning to things based on what I
know. I feel it's quite possible the three cultures they influenced
(all in different ways I feel) are the Egyptian, Mayan and Incan. I
feel there is a possibility that they influenced the Basque people in
some way as well. Again, these are only my guesses, and they would be
the guesses of a lot of people I'm sure.
4) Why do you think the NSA is keeping this PPD program secret?
DS: My assumption is that the reason to have trained Intuitive
Communicators in the first place, if known by the general populace,
would not be welcome news. However, the straight answer to your
question is "I don't know for sure." Very rarely are people who are
privvy to information, like I was, privvy to EVERYTHING! I was simply
a tool (indispensible, but still only a tool).
5) What do you think is the event that will trigger a breakdown of
electromagnetic communications?
DS: I have thought long and hard about this. I feel it will most
likely be an event that is naturally occuring. I say that because if
it were a nuclear war or something else brought on by man's actions,
how could anyone know it was going to happen years before it does?
Remember, PPD began in the early 1960's in preparation for something
in the future. The aliens I comm'ed with were advanced but I don't
think they could predict the future unless it was based on
predicatable set of circumstances. Such as a pole shift, asteroid
strike...etc. These are all events that, if one were knowledgeable
enough, could be predicted years in advance. So my thoughts are, it
will be something along these lines.
Now this is all based on what I was told regarding the reason I was
being trained. That is, I will be able to provide communications in a
world without ordinary methods to do so. But what if I was just TOLD
that and there was actually an altogether different reason. This is
where it gets frustrating because I have absolutely no idea which is
true.
I do know however that one of my alien contacts lead me to believe on
several occasions that the earth will experience some major upheaval
in it's future. Again, no specifics. (Life sure would be easy if you
could believe everything you experience while in the military. But
this is just not possible!)
6) Do you know anything about purpose of alien abductions?
DS: This is a tough one. I was stationed at two separate bases as a
mission ready IC [Intuitive Communicator]. At the second one, I
started to receive, as the subject of my comms, what appeared to be
abduction data. At the time, I thought they were quite upsetting and
that is why I opted to try to get a discharge by any means. I didn't
want to be involved is such an operation, even though, as a direct
result of my mother being abducted, I was given this IC ability. It
affects you more deeply when you are reporting data that shows
"residual pain levels." That was disturbing to me. I felt like
Frankenstein's radio man, reporting to his superiors how the creation
is coming along. It was absolutely repugnant to me.
That said, what if they were simply sending me test information to
test my resolve to report whatever comes through, without prejudice?
Nowhere in the info that I received did they actually say "Attention,
this is abduction data!" It was only apparent in the content of the
information. So who knows really? Again, is the reality I was exposed
to true or not? It's all relative in the "special projects" world of
the military.
So the short answer is.... I don't know the overall reason for the
abductions, but simply because my mother would have had to be abducted
I do believe it's real and there are most likely several reasons for
it. I believe there are several alien missions being hidden within
the military machine, all with totally separate agendas and missions.
Some of them may be autonomous from one another as well. I would
venture a guess that in the past, they all had a few upper echelon
people in charge of all of them and who knew the existence of all of
them but over time, because of the severe compartmentalization, as
these people died off they became splintered and isolated from one
another and no longer have common leadership. This is my theory.
7) Did you ever recieve information from the Aliens which may have
been related to Project HARPP (that big Alaskan "experiment")?
DS: The only thing I know about this project was from an article I
read about it a while back in some magazine. I remember thinking that
this is prime government "Black" mission. This may very well be
linked to PPD somehow. But unfortunately, I do not know anything
about it. In the book I talk about a run in I had with a company that
is a specialist in "Noise Cancellation" and how they are probably
experimenting with this as well. I'll tell you, there are so many
more applications with electromagnetic energy that I'm sure we haven't
even scratched the surface of bringing to application. The government
is heavily involved with these types of experiments, I'm positive! I
go over all my speculations in the book.
8) I am an abductee. Are you really willing to share your
experiences?
DS: I'm attempting to get a book released that will share the more
interesting aspects of my experiences. As was stated in the interview
with Glenn, I'm dealing with a lot of legal ramifications of releasing
certain info surrounding where I was stationed and the info that might
be released inadvertantly regarding my other non-alien but VERY
classified duties. It's a challenge, but I hope to be able to do this
soon.
9) Is the PPD program related to remote viewing?
DS: My first exposure to remote viewing was a guy who had written a
book about it was a guest on our local programming town hall type
program called, appropriately enough, "Town Hall." I had not even
heard of it in passing until then. I cannot see any similarities as
far as origin of talent. As far as any other similarities, I do not
know enough about it to comment. It would be interesting to speak
with a remote viewer and talk about the security aspects of their
program and how it related. I'm sure it was a "Black" program.
10) Were their other code words associated with PPD?
DS: There were no other code words, per se, officially that were
attached to PPD. We had names for things like "slant" and "grey" when
refering to the aliens (although it was very infrequent anyone would
discuss this topic directly). We had all kinds of code words that I
worked with and around regarding the TS "Black" missions. Obviously,
these are not a topic for discussion.
11) Was your first PPD control officer also Air Force? Were all your
controls Air Force? Are you willing to name any of your PPD controls?
DS: All my control officers were AF... There were only three. I have
thought about the ramifications of naming these people. I have
decided not to. Only because it would probably do more harm than
good. It would, most likely reveal more than what I would want
regarding the other collateral missions I worked with. (The black
ones.) And it would do no good because they would deny any
involvement and we would end up at a dead-end anyway.
12) Where was your training conducted? The FANNEX? A contractor site?
Did you ever see your instructor?
DS: I go over, in detail, the specifics about my training in my
upcoming book. I was trained at a site within about a twenty minute
drive from The Holiday Inn at the BWI airport. That's all I know of
the actual location. I was picked up by a blue air force van in front
of my hotel each afternoon and let off in a building that was totally
artificailly lit and I went directly from the van to a door and down
an elevator into what I assume was an underground facility. I only saw
the classroom that the elevator opened up into.
No, I never once saw my instructor but I did see another student while
I was there. We were not allowed to talk with one another the whole
time I was there. We simply nodded to one another and that was it. We
were instructed through headphones the whole time.
I attended the FANX for my other training while I was there. The
course was called EA-280.

13) Were any civilian contractors involved?
DS: I never saw any civilian contractors but that doesn't mean they
didn't work on anything with the program. As you know, everything is
quite compartmentalized. In PPD it was magnified to the nth degree!
14) Were Silicon Graphics workstations used in your project?
DS: Yes, Silicon Graphics was heavily used.
15) Perhaps some genetic testing could provide some credibility to
your story. Have you considered such testing? Would you be willing to
undergo this? Genetics research is growing by leaps and bounds, and I
think it is quite possible that genetic oddities might be found.
Although there are high costs involved, I don't see why serious
UFOlogy groups would have a problem assisting with the costs of such
potential evidence.
DS: I would be more than amenable to this. I'm certainly not going
to pay for it however! I have thought of this before. Especially
since genetic research has become such a hot topic in solving
mysteries. I don't know much about it, but don't you have to know what
you're looking for before you can search for something regarding DNA?
Anyway, if anyone would like to do some testing in this area and is
willing to foot the bill, I'm game!
16) On Art Bell and on several other radio shows, some of the shows
being recent, I've heard people who claimed to have been in the
government remote viewing program. I was struck by the fact that a
significant percentage of these people left the program with serious
psychological problems that conventional psychology and psychiatry was
evidently unable to help them with. I was wondering to what degree and
in what nature you were changed by your PPD experiences.
DS: As far as I know I have not suffered any adverse affects
emotionally or in any other way. I have been a mentally strong person
all my life.
17) Do the aliens have souls?
DS: I have no way of knowing whether my contacts had souls or not, but
based on my beliefs, I feel they did. I believe that we all have the
same creator. And any being with the intelligence they displayed I
believe HAS to have a soul. Again, I have no way of proving my thesis
on this issue. I guess it will come out in the wash at the end, won't
it?
18) PPD implies that an alliance exists between the aliens and the US
Govt. Were you given any timeline on the events that created the
alliance?
DS: Only that the program began the genetic management phase in the
early 1960's. I can't remember whether I learned the following from
my grey contacts or my PPD officers but I believe the whole
alien/people comm- unication began in 1947 like everyone now believes.
Remember, I learned of this long before the hoopla with Roswell. At
the time, it didn't really seem all that significant to me as to the
dates. If it had at the time, I would have been careful to remember
more the of the circumstances of my learning it.... ie from who and in
what context.
19) Any reference to a crashed disc?
DS: Never heard of any.
20) What's in it for the aliens? How do they benefit?
DS: If they are indeed using our DNA for something, it would stand to
reason that they would want to cooperate with the powers that be
because if the government was not in alliance, they would most
definitely run up against a lot more distractions.... Remember, prior
to mid 20th century, we were a bunch of nitwits intellectually and I
would assume they were able to move in and around fairly undisturbed.
Once we got satelite photography, nuclear weapons, etc, they had to
run into defense too much in their daily routines... whatever those
were. It would make sense to make friends with the faction of humans
(government) that are in the best position to give them trouble
(however minor the trouble may seem.)
21) Were you ever told who/what the comms were being fed to? Any
name-dropped? MJ12, Rothchilds, Tri-Lateralists?:-)
DS: I wish I knew. I do know that the comms almost invaribly ended
up at the NSA. Where in the maze of puzzle palace, I haven't a clue!
22) When you and controllers met, what did you discuss?
DS: I'm not sure who you mean by "controllers". My PPD officers and
I met very infrequently. We would see each other in the halls and
that was it. We discussed only what was necessary when we did meet.
This contributed to the feeling that I was all alone.
23) Did the controllers ever express any awe about their dealings?
DS: Again, I'll assume you are talking about the PPD officers I dealt
with. My first operational one seemed a bit green and in awe of the
whole thing which helped me be a little more at ease I think. but he
was still all business, no play.
24) Were all the officers Captains? I've been an Army Captain and it
is hard for me envision such a junior level officer with PPD
responsibility.
DS: I thought this was odd too. Yes, they were all Captains. If you
think about it though.... in order to not arouse suspicion it would be
better to have a captain dealing with such matters, one on one with
enlisted man, than a full bird calling a Tech Sergeant into his office
and dealing with him one on one. I met some awfully important
Captains in the intelligence field in general. So it wasn't THAT
unusual in the environment I worked.
25) Was your controller present during your training sessions?
DS: No, never.
26) Was he "comms" proficient?
DS: This would be impossible without the genetic ability.
27) Did my confirmation of PPD-named project surprise you? My source
certainly surprised me.
DS: I doubt it has anything to do with the grey program but yes, it
was a bit of a surprise.
28) I am wondering if you have been made aware of any of the
following terms/ideas and their significance: the Gate or Gates, Base
Point, Phase 2, the Sphere.
DS: Sorry, none of them ring a bell.
29) Do you have any clear sense of when the predicted cataclysm might
occur?
DS: No. I was not given any timelines.
30) Were you in touch with the greys only, or were there other
species present also?
DS: I do believe there are other "species" than the ones I
communicated with, but I feel I communicated with only one species. (I
only had contact with onlytwo separate entities during my PPD
involvement.)
31) Do you think the greys are able to time-travel?
DS: My speculation is that they are. Not in the sense that they can
go back in our past and intermingle or into our future. But I believe
that time is not the barrier to travel that it is to us currently.
32) Are you familiar with "dual-identity" experiences reported by
some abductees?
DS: I am not familiar with any abductee information at all since I
have not taken an interest in studying it. And I learned nothing
other than what I was fed during my comms, about abduction. And that
info was not personal in nature, it was general info.
33) What form of compensation did you receive for your work?
DS: My compensation was the same as all other military people, based
on your rank and years of service. I had no special incentive pay
unfortunately.
34) Why did you agree to do it?
DS: I had no choice in the matter. And at the time I was
indoctrinated into the program I was quite fascinated by the idea that
I would be able to communicate with another species. So I'm not so
sure I would have turned it down even if I was given a choice. My
abilities were and are a commodity to the purveyors of the PPD
program. It was not easy being released from the military, believe
me. They went down fighting!
35) Was PPD a NSA program or an AF program 'hosted' by NSA? Were the
AF Captains assigned to PPD all "intel" types? Were any ever assigned
to AIA, Rome Labs or NAIC? Did you ever get a glimmer of the chain of
command?
DS: I believe it was an NSA program conducted by Air Force personnel.
The AF link is probably simply a perpetuation of earlier days when the
AF was the primary responsible agency for such things. Over time, I
believe, NSA has taken over responsibility for PPD. Other missions, I
cannot speculate who is in control. But given the NSA's mission, PPD
would fit the description of a program under their control.
36) The comms channel seems to be a very low-bandwidth transmission
channel. How could that aid the government in the event of a
cataclysm? And I assume the aliens need to be part of the comm links
for the system to function.
By bandwidth I meant the amount of data capable of being sent. Comms
sound as though not much data cannot be sent and would not be
applicable for a Command and Control scenarios. But it could be a
simple reporting channel to let us know who was snatched and when.
What do you think?
DS: In the sense that you cannot send 10 Mhz of information bandwidth
at one time and have a computer store all the information for later
use, you are right. But I'm sure they have an enormous amount of
potential "bandwidth" because much of the information I passed was all
numbers. If they have a numerical code for information it could be
passed quite quickly and alot of info could be passed if it is coded
via numbers. but it would never be as fast as a traditional data
link, you're right. But remember, this is a backup method for a time
when traditional data links will not be available. Something is
better than nothing, wouldn't you agree?
37) Were names ever mentioned in the comms?
DS: Never.
38) What do you believe the ultimate purpose for the alien presence
is?
DS: I don't believe there is one ultimate purpose. I believe they
have many reasons for visiting us. I believe they are involved with
our government and other governments for with many different goals in
mind. One of which was PPD.
39) What do you think the real purpose of PPD is? If its scope
includes all of mankind would thta imply the participation of foreign
governments? Any indications that other govts are involved?
DS: I think there are probably several goals regarding PPD. I truly
believe one of them is to facilitate communications in the future
during the loss of convential communications because of a catastrphic
event. I personally feel it'll probably be a meteor or asteroid
strike. This is the only thing that could wipe out all communications
as far as I know. There may be some residual goals going on with PPD,
like experiments in electromagnetic energy uses, noise
cancellation...etc. These are only hunches on my part.
Yes, I feel there are other IC capable people in other countries and I
feel there are probably other countries in on the program. Probably
only a few though.
40) Were those lats/longs you received all CONUS?
DS: All the lat/longs I personally looked up were in indeed in the
CONUS. But I didn't look up many.
41) Where did those lat/longs translate to? What type of activity was
relate to those coordinates?
DS: The ones I remembered and subsequently looked up were in Florida,
Wisonsin and upstate New York. The activity I cannot remember. I
don't think it was anything memorable or I probably would have
remembered it.
42) I've abductee friends who sometimes experience unusual government
activities immediately after an event. Do you think the government can
detect the aliens?
DS: This is an interesting theory. I don't believe they can detect
them if they don't want them to. Regardless though, I'm not sure if
the goverment is trying. At least not the abductions that are being
conducted by the "race" that I comm'ed with. Maybe other "races."
43) Could your comms be, in part, an accounting to the govt. of alien
activities? Remember "trust but verify"? :-)
DS: I don't think so. I feel the government is in full cooperation
with them and vice versa on this matter. My comms were only being
monitored for accuracy as far as I feel.
44) Were you still part of the training stage and you were the
recipient of test msgs? Did you receive feedback on your accuracy?
DS: The whole program is a training scenario actually. According to
what I was told concerning how we (IC's) would be used for
communications in the future anyway. I believe I was constantly
monitored for accuracy. I never did receive feedback, but I believe
that was because I never needed it. As far as positive feedback, I
believe they didn't necessarily want me to know I was being monitored,
so they never gave positive feedback.
45) Given your sensitivity to other national secrets, why reveal the
greatest secret of all? What's your motivation? What do hope to
accomplish? Why not talk about the Aurora?
DS: It's ironic that it truly is the greatest secret of all, but it
is because it's the biggest secret of all that I can talk about it.
Because they wouldn't dare come after me for fear of legitimizing the
story. I reveal this and not other "secrets" because all the other
secrets I know will, if revealed, jeopardize the security of our
nation. That's nothing anyone should do, regardless of their motives.
I want people to know what's going on pertaining to the area I know
about because it's about time the people knew. Although I cannot be
100% sure what the ultimate purpose of PPD is, I'm relatively sure
that it has nothing to do with national security, at least not in the
traditional definition of national security. I hope to get others to
speak because I did and creatr(or perpetuatr) a chain of other
revelations. I want to know more about it too. Especially how things
may have interrelated to the project I worked on.

Well! This is interesting to say the least. No, I do not believe
there is any possession going on. I appreciate his concern though.
The second to the last paragraph is easier for me to comment on
however. I was told that they came from the same origins as us. The
same creator as you will. I interpreted that to mean God but I
readily admit I may have interjected my own ideologies into that
interpretation. I do not believe they "created Jesus" or that they
are any different than us in a spiritual sense. I believe anything
with the intelligence to realize their own existence has a soul
because that is the trait that allows this "self-realization" to
happen.
