I am informed that your doctorate is in Potatos and not in orchids. That by
abusing your statuts in many occasions you have written material which
their origins; either have been from another amateurs like yourself, or
stolen material from others and published under your name, thereby
accredting yourself with the glory. Not to mention the financial proceeds
you have banked.
One such clumsy book is your monograph on the slipper orchids. Never before
such quantity of cock and bull, speculative mateiral has been published
with the cover of a well known botanic garden. Using their name, and your
shady character and postion, and the lack of knowledge by others, you tried
to endore and sell it as the monograph. The mistakes in that book alone
could constitute pages of yet another book.
Your utter selfishness, arogance, and the sheer frieght of your cover being
blown away, has kept you JUST in the position you are.
Indeed you are a clear danger to both conservation, and the very essence
and knowledge of the orchid science. You neither have the guts nor the
stomach to confront criticism. As result of your direct actions today, the
science of orchids is dying of gradual death, the orchid business is on its
last leg, and the history would remember you as a little spolied,
self-centered prat, who for promotion of his own rank and position caused
the sheer demise of the orchid science, and the possibilities of
discovering new species before their extinction due to the geopolitical
changes in the under-developed and developing countries.
Why don't you let the orchid world know how a wealthy Swiss lady, Meta
Held, funded your entire first trip to China, accompanying you, in return
for your favors to her during her visit to Sabah and collection of wild
plants from there. Subesquently marrying to one of her close friends- your
wife today.
Why don't you let the orchid world know how you, bent the law and
authorized the CITES authorities in UK to issue an Import Permit to Henry
Azadehdel for Paphiopedilum devoglii, which was not yet discoverd and
described, due to your own personal desparation to accredit the
descritption of ONE slipper orchid to yourself.
Why don't you let the orchid world know how you bent the botnical science
laws, which bans the naming of two botanical items to the same person, by
letting a genus of orchids being named after you, knowing the rules and
knowing well that there was alreay a group of moss named after you, and
another individual Dr. Braem put the records right?
Why don't you let the orchid world know how you travelled to USA, to
describe Paphiopedilum emersonii, after Mr. Emerson "Doc" Charles, without
asking him about the legitimacy of the plant, yet blaming and trying to
punish everone else who had the plant or a Chinese plant. Was it because
"emersonii" provided your ego the perfect opportunity to leave a foot-print
in the slipper orchids? Therefore, the legitimacy of the plant was
immeterial?
Why don't you let the orchid world know how you instructed the CITES
authorities to issue permit for Mr. Henry Azadehdel to import Paphiopedilum
micranthum to UK, in order to donate on of the two imported plants to Kew.
Yet, later proclaiming that the Chinese plants are all imported illegally?
Why don't you let the orchid world to know how in many occasions the
confiscated orchid plants were BURNED in UK, and yet you proclaim the
danger of extinction due to their collection?
Why don't you let the orchid world know that Mr. V. Mammen was the
person
who collected all the Pahiopedilum druryi, and later set fire to its
habitat, yet you accredited him in your so called "monograph" because of
his donation to you?
Or, are there two laws? One to be implemented by abusing your authority for
your own self promotion, and the other for public at large.
