The Marfa Lights are so popular that the Texas Highway Department has
paved a very wide spot on Hwy 90 between Alpine and Marfa for viewing.
I've been there a couple times during the summer when there were so
many viewers and parked cars you almost needed a reservation. Also
several Marfa and Alpine residents told me, although I've never gotten
it documented from university officials, that a full 4-year college
scholarship to Sul Ross State University in Alpine awaits the first
person to prove exactly what causes the Marfa Lights. Marfa even has
an annual Marfa Lights Festival.

When I was in the Army, Green River served as an "Impact Area" for
missle shots out of White Sands, NM Nothing was ever launched from
there in the 70's, it only crashed there.
There are three other areas that researchers should look into, in the
State of Utah, Deserette Proving Grounds, Tooele Proving Grounds and
Dugway Proving Grounds. A lot of stuff was dumped there, and, all
three were condemned/closed in the 70's. At least that's what we were
told.
If I wanted to hide something from the public, it would be in one of
those three sites. Alot of different "stuff" was tested out there...

coastline clouds, I saw a small disk shaped (lintel?) cloud
traveling south, turn west between 2 cloud pillars, changed course
direction to north and at aproximately at a 30 degree
angle of decent disappeared into the cloud banks below.

Hi-I live in Los Angeles and Palmdale and the southern Mojave in California is
an easy 3 hour drive from me. I would like to know the name of the town where
so many ufo sightings have occurred because I want to go up there and check it
out.
Can you give me some more info on this? Seems to me saw this on some tv show
so I'm not sure if it's fiction or not. I know that there have been various
sightings near Edwards Air Force Base but is that the same location as "the
most sightings?"
[From the Moderator: I seem to vaguely remember a town in California

Subject: Area 51 Book Publishing "Cancelled"
I am a supporter of your website and have every book ever published
about "Area 51", Dreamland, U.F.O. research, etc. I would like to
bring something to your attention for what it's worth.
Since last September, 1997, I have become aware of a new book which
was to be published in February 1998, "Area 51: Nightmare in
Dreamland" by a Sean Morton. I have the Darlington book, Area 51: The
Dreamland Chronicles and was very interested in this additional book
about Area 51.
The book in question was not published in February or March of 1998.
I had a Barnes and Noble as well as Amazon.com check into the pending
publication of this book and they told me it would be published
sometime in the Summer of 1998.
I have since been notified that the publication of the book, "Area 51:
Nightmare in Dreamland" has been cancelled. This would seem to be the
publisher's perogative; however, I feel there is a reason it is not
being published of which I may never find out.
If you should know anything about this, please put something in your
newsletter. I find it quite interesting!
[I would guess that it was cancelled by the publisher because it was
rubbish. The publisher, M. Evans, is a respectable mainstream house,
and Sean might not have lived up to their editorial standards. It is
a shame. Sean promised to expose the frauds and wackos of Area 51,
and I assume that I was one of them. -gc]

Project Blue Book is not a book but a former Air Force project that
generated a huge number of files, now stored at the national archives
(where you can view them on microfilm). There are far too many pages
to publish, but a few books offer the best parts of the Blue Book
files -- mainly the summary reports and studies of the unresolved
cases (the "unknowns").

I just did a search for "Detachment 3, Air Force Flight Test Center" and
found a website on a COLONEL GEORGE PEACH TAYLOR, JR. at Ramstein AFB in
Germany. According to his assignments list, he was probably on active
duty in Area51 as there is under 2.: "April 1981 - August 1983, chief,
aerospace medicine, Detachment 3, Air Force Flight Test Center,
Henderson, Nev."
