in reference to the "Fake legal Notice Regarding Noreen Renier" purportedly
written by John Merrell:
The author of this item states: "...John Merrell, and the
party of Fellowes, Hartman, and Rivers have issued a legal filing on
statements made on and connected to webmaster@ufomind.com."
This may refer to my link on your Unnoffical Noreen Renier page to my
series of articles about Gary Posner and the Tampa Bay Skeptics. On page 3
I detail the facts about John Merrell and his attacks on Noreen Renier
which resulted in Merrell losing a libel case and Ms Renier being awarded
$25,000 in damages. These facts are recorded in the court records so there
is nothing defamatory in the content of my writing.

Merrell's past record for irrational and peculiar conduct suggests that
this Notice could well be his doing.
I hope this helps clear up some of the mystery surrounding this dubious
document.
