By manipulating your constitutional rights, you have simultaneously
helped domestic and foreign terrorist groups to be more fiscally
efficient. You've done their targetting for them. Look at all this
work they do not have to spend money and personnel on! They are
grateful for Americans like you. You've collected valuable
intelligence for enemies, who WILL file and perhaps use what you have
disseminated. As far as the middle finger from one of the guards, I
think it was well provoked and well deserved. The unwritten story is
that this anonomous guard probably was disciplined beyond charring.
Managers really care about political correctness these days. The other
grand expose that I think is just wonderful is the residential
addresses you have published. What is yours? Oops, I guess we won't go
into that! I wonder how you feel if one of the guards was victimized
as a result of your responsible journalism. Apparently this government
pays them well a couple of their residences have been taken from
them-foreclosures and such. You folks seem to have caused alot of good
people alot of stress. If you are in to openess, tell us all about
yourselves-YOUR most closely guarded secrets, your banks account
balances-your address and phone number. I guess we won't go there
either.

POSSIBLE ADDITIONS TO GROOM LAKE BASE

I was on Tikaboo on May 16 noticed some new (since 7/97) features.
There is now what appears to be one possibly two large black
water tanks next to the four older tanks on the hill there.
The new tank or tanks are larger than the old ones. Hot water?
At the south end of the fuel tank farm there appears to be two
new tanks which are closer together, shorter, and whiter than
the old ones. At the north end next to the radar dishes there
is a new (since 10/96) antenna which looks like four white
spheres of slightly different sizes arranged two on top of two
so as to fit inside an imaginary square. Obviously for saucer
cross-section. I can provide photos if you care. I'm sure you're
aware that one meter resolution satellite imagery will likely
become commercially available later this year. Any way to start
a collection for images of our favorite secret base? I'm off
to law school in Augusat. Have fun this weekend.

I just had to add my 2 cents to this issue. I agree with CatshotKim
who claims that a Kingair is an acceptable vehicle for intercept and I
would like to add a further insight. I have recently learned that a
local aerospace firm has received a contract to modify Kingairs for the
government. While I can't discuss the customer or the specifics of the
modifications ('cause I really don't know), I have learned that the
modifications included installation of FLIR, a JSTARS style MTI (Moving
Target Indication) & SAR (Synthetic Aperature Radar) system. I suspect
(my opinion) that the modification also includes SATCOM and maybe JTIDS
links for realtime relay of sensor information to some remote location.
At first I suspected that the DEA or Customs was buying these for air
surveillance of smugglers because of the FLIR, but the inclusion of the
MTI/SAR radar installation confused me. These systems are typically
designed to be used against ground targets in a military scenario. The
MTI will sort out lots of ground clutter to provide a controller with
only those targets meeting certain speed criteria, and the SAR is often
used for long distance, low oblique angle air surveillance of ground
installations. Maybe the government has purchased these things for air
surveillance around secret installations? Catching intruders sneaking
into large, desolate, remote installtions. I usually don't request
anonymity of my information, but in this case, public knowledge of this
information could be traced to me.

In Feb. '98 I sent Dilettoso two dozen images from a 1975
"cloudbusting" experiment for analysis. The infrared slides showed an
anomalous atmospheric phenonemon which I could not identify. Dilettoso
acknowledged receipt and told me in a March phone conversation that
the phenomena appeared unique, matching nothing else in his database.
To date I have been unable to recover my originals, obtain the results
of his analysis and now have lost contact with him. Anyone knowing Mr.
Dilettoso's whereabouts please contact me. Thank you.

Lazar has named the homeworld of the "aliens" as Zeta 2 Reticuli. In
the 1979 movie Alien (with Sigourney Weaver) the alien planet is Zeta
2 Reticuli. hmmm...........
