APRO members to wear uniforms and carry badges

During a telephone interview with BILL HEFT of APRO, The 'X' Zone
was told that APRO members have decided to wear uniforms while investigating
UFO related incidents. The uniforms will consist of a black jacket, with
black pants, black shows and a crisp white shirt. The back of the jacket
will identify the person wearing ti as an APRO INVESTIGATOR. There will also
be a shoulder flash on the jacket. Each APRO investigator will carry picture
identification and a pocket badge. According to HEFT, the uniforms are meant
as a means to show the public that APRO is taking the investigation of UFOs
and related occurrences very seriously. HEFT claims that the thousands of
APRO members around the world will be expected to wear their uniforms while
"on duty". APRO members will also wear their "ranks" on the shoulders as do
members of the military and law enforcement agencies.
As with other UFO related groups, APRO is putting together an
investigators field manual which will assist their investigators in their
duties.
BILL HEFT, the head of APRO, will be a guest on the APRIL 4TH,
SATURDAY edition of THE 'X' ZONE RADIO SHOW from 4:30 p.m. EST - 5:00 p.m. EST.
HEFT was asked if the BLACK uniforms had anything to do with the
M.I.B. activity that is sometimes associated with UFOs and he said that he
got the idea from his local police and fire department.
Are uniforms and pocket badges necessary when investigating UFO
