NELLIS RENEWAL HEARING

On Nov. 10, I attended a hearing on the Nellis Range Renewal,
which includes a proposal to absorb Area 51 into the Nellis Range.
The hearing was held at a high school in Las Vegas. The public
was invited to comment on the "Draft Legislative Environmental
Impact Statement" -- an environmental report required before the
Air Force submits the matter to Congress.
The hearing resembled a smaller version of the big White Sides
hearing reported in Desert Rat #4 in 1994....

There were a dozen or more Air Force personnel present, both
in and out of uniform, as well as representatives of DOE, BLM
and the Fish and Wildlife service. There were perhaps fifty
other attendees. (I didn't count.)
The speakers were about evenly divided between Air Force
cheerleaders and UFO/conspiracy buffs. Like the White Sides
hearing, the speakers were richly entertaining and almost
entirely irrelevant.
Anthony Hilder was there, giving a performance similar to that
of the White Sides hearing, mentioning concentration camps
in the Nellis Range, etc. One elderly gentlemen went on at
length on the abuses suffered by the Shoshone indians, who he
contended still own the land. One couple discuss the mystery
jets they witnessed over Las Vegas, which emitted vapors in a
"checkboard pattern" and caused the hospital emergency rooms
to fill up.
The only speaker who offered anything relevant was Norio
Hayakawa, who spoke about the unmarked border and the
vagueness of current control of Area 51.
I did not speak, reserving my comments for a written response.
The deadline for responding to the draft LEIS report (which you
ought to read first) is Dec. 31. I will post my own respond
on-line.

I was managing editor of the Pensacola News Journal and interviewed Ed
Walters when we found the model UFO in the attic of his old home. Ed
admitted to the fact the he was really Ed Hanson and also admitted the
hot car incident mentioned above. I believe UFOs exist (my father was
one of the pilots in the Nash-Fortenberry sightings in July 1952 over
Norfolk, Va.) but I think Ed is nothing but a prankster.

I dont know his story, - was directed here by a fellow research student
at the National Space Center in Leicester, UK. It is my understanding
that the element that R.Lazar says is used in the propulsion system is
not formed in such a way. 115 is s-heavy and where as the "food stuff"
the propulsion would use is potentially suitable the basic config of
the event aspect is not. We at Leicester are researching 115. Anybody
with a knowledge of future science propulsion, especially worm hole,
and gravity shifters would be able to come up with this.

The First Assistant Director and myself greatly enjoyed our recent
vacation on Fantasy Island -- aka Kauai, Hawaii. It is one of the most
interesting travel destinations I have been to. Rainforests, a rugged
coastland, interesting culture and idyllic beaches are the main
attractions.

I also wonder why such a species would create only one species, and if
they did, why it would be humans? Humanity's major survival trait in my
opinion is adaptability - not exactly the major trait you want in a slave
race. Why not create several specialized species?
Or for that matter, why not machinery? The span it takes to
"manufacture" a new human capable of productive work is years.

HELICOPTER INQUIRY

I'm trying to find someone who knows something (anything) about the
following type of helicopter: It is painted a dull black similar to some
of the stealth-type planes. It has double rotors, but it is not shaped
like a CH47 or CH46; rather, more like a a Bell helicopter Textron LHX
by McDonnell Douglas - (that's the closest thing I could find to it.
There's a prototype photo in a 1990 issue of "Aviation Week and Space
Technology".
The double rotors are side-by-side, but slightly offset over the center
of the cockpit. The blades, when spinning, are balanced so they do not
hit one another. There isn't a rotor mechanism in the tail area of the
helicopter. The craft is approximately 45 feet long and 15 to 18 feet
high.
Older versions of this helicopter blade design were called "workhorses."
The helicopter in question is very modern-looking and has the following
marking on it in black letters: NS2059.
